Initial Money Back Guarantee (Returns)

Initial Money Back Guarantee (Returns)

Under Consumer Contracts Regulations law prevailing in most countries, goods manufactured to personalised and custom requirements are exempt and cannot normally be returned for refund. However, MakeMyCricketBat are so confident that you will love the bat made for you that all custom-made bats purchased from the makemycricketbat.com website may be returned within 14 days following receipt of the item(s), provided that they are returned in the original packaging and in the same unused condition. Any damage to the bat, or alteration outside of options offered on the makemycricketbat.com website, that would curtail subsequent re-sale potential will invalidate this exceptional return arrangement.

The customer will be responsible for the return postage costs except in the case of faulty items. Your statutory rights are not affected. Also see `Standard Guarantee` below.

Terms and Conditions for Payment

Updated on 12th January 2018

Order Payment

Order Payment

Full payment must be completed before orders are accepted for manufacturing. Payment can be made using the majority of credit and debit cards via our secure, encrypted payment processor `make-my-payment.co.uk` or via PayPal. For UK orders over the value of £100, bank transfer is available (with 1.5% discount off total order value). For non-UK orders, international bank transfer is available for orders over £500. These options are provided at the end of the checkout summary and you can choose your preferred method.

Order Acceptance

Order Acceptance

Within 24 hours of placing your order, MakeMyCricketBat will email confirming details of your order have been passed to manufacturing. This email is the formation of the contract between the customer and MakeMyCricketBat and the point of order acceptance. The acceptance will be considered complete and to have been effectively communicated to the customer, whether or not the email is received. On all occasions, payment will be taken before the point this email confirmation is sent. In the event that we have to cancel your order, your payment will be refunded immediately.

Standard Guarantee

Standard Guarantee

Our `Initial Money Back Guarantee` as detailed above, is concerned only with the delivery of the bat to the specification entered at time of purchase. It applies on receipt and up to 14 days, without use of the bat. Once used, the bat is subject to the wear and tear of a natural product as per any other cricket bat. Willow, cane and other products within the bat will naturally deteriorate with use and over time. Even the very best quality materials and manufacture we use cannot eliminate the effects of incorrect storage, yorker damage, use of sub-standard balls, crease tapping, general wear and tear etc. Added to modern requirement in bat shapes, it is impossible to predict or guarantee the lifetime of any bat. Your bat will be guaranteed for 6 months following date of delivery but this guarantee will NOT include any of the below:
1/ incorrect storage
2/ yorker damage
3/ damage caused by the use of poor quality and sub-standard balls
4/ mistimed shots
5/ crease tapping
6/ general wear and tear / ageing

If a condition does arise whereby you wish to invoke this guarantee, the bat must not be used in any way that may compound the issue nor must an attempt be made to resolve the issue other than by a professional skilled person (for which a receipt of proof may be required).   Failure to comply will invalidate the guarantee.

Delivery Timescales

Delivery Timescales

Manufacturing will take around three weeks following order acceptance. We attempt to meet and often beat this timescale but due to the seasonal demand, there are times when small delays are inevitable. As delivering a top quality product is paramount, we will never rush an order at the expense of quality.

Current timescales (last updated 3rd June 2017):

  • Cricket Bats (makemycricketbat.com) : 3 weeks
  • Cricket Bats with knocking-in option (makemycricketbat.com) : 4 weeks
  • Cricket Bat Grips (cricketbatgrips.com) : 3 weeks
Shipping

Shipping

When your order is ready, we will dispatch by tracked courier. We will email a tracking reference to you but these are often unavailable until reaching the final courier in your country. Goods will be fully insured during the shipping process. Any duty or consumption tax applicable on customs clearance in the destination country will be the responsibility of the customer, as it is not included at the checkout on this website. Please contact us if you are unsure of the regulations in your country.
